Manchester Parks and Recreation Department operates three pools that offer a variety of experiences for all ages and abilities. It is also where we offer our Red Cross certified Swim Lessons
- Indoor Warm Water Therapy Pool: This pool is kept at 88 degrees and is where we conduct our Water Arthritis classes. One section of the pool, where classes are conducted, has a walk in ramp with rails and includes railings on the inside along the wall to offer stability for those who need it during classes. The therapy pool also has a hydrotherapy bench with jets for people to use and enjoy. This section of the pool is restricted to children under the age of two and adults.
The shallow end of the therapy pool is a pool for children with a zero depth entrance and spray fountains. This section is especially appropriate for young children not old enough or tall enough to use the lap pool.
- Indoor Competition/Lap Pool: Our competition/lap pool is meters with a shallow end of 4 ft and a deep end with two diving boards that is 12 ft deep. There are eight lanes and this is the pool where we conduct our deep water aerobics, water aerobics, master swim team, swim team, and open swim in the winter. The temperature is kept at 82 degrees.
- Outdoor Leisure Pool: The outdoor pool is open from May through September and features a zero depth entrance, small lazy river, two water slides, water playgrounds, spray features, and lily pad walk. The deepest area of this pool is 4 ft deep.
All of our pools are available for rental and parties. During the summer all three pools are open to the public and are available for free to those with memberships and on a daily fee basis. Please check our fee schedule for more information.
