Special Events 

The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department offers special events throughout out the
year for all ages and abilities. We have events for the athletic minded: races from 5k, 10k,
and 20k team relays, bike rides, mini triathlons, swim meets, basketball tournaments, and
ball tournaments. Holiday fun is always available with our Boo Run Run Haunted 5k, Egg Hunts,
Underwater Egg Hunt, July 4th, and Labor Day Luau. Our Parkpalooza is our annual event
celebrating our park facilities and programs held on Memorial Day. So check our special events
page often to see what is coming soon to our parks and recreation facilities. You can also like us

  • Underwater Egg Hunt

On Saturday, April 8th, there will be an underwater egg hunt in the indoor pool at 11:00 AM.
This event is for children for ages 3 - 12. Participants are asked to bring a bag or other type
of container to place their eggs in. also, please do not forget to bring your goggles. This event
is free to all participants and preregistration is required. There is a limit of 50 participants.

  • Spring Egg Hunt

The annual Spring Egg Hunt will be held in Fred Deadman Park on Saturday, April 15th, at 1:00 p.m. for those ages 7 years old and under, and for those 8 years old and up the event will be held on the Babe Ruth Field in Fred Deadman Park at 8:00 p.m.  Those 8 years old and up are asked to bring a flashlight to participate as all the eggs will be hidden on the Babe Ruth field and once the event starts the field lights will be shut off.  This event is free to all participants and no registration is required.  For additional information, please contact the Manchester Parks and Recreation Dept. at (931) 728-0273.

  • Full Moon 5K
Park Partners’ annual Full Moon 5K will be held on the evening of Friday, May 5th at Beans Creek Winery. The race will start at 8:00 pm with music and refreshments to follow.  Registration is $35.00 for runners/walkers and $20.00 for those who what to enjoy the food, wine, and live music.  The $35.00 registration fee includes an event shirt, a drink ticket (wine/soft drink), food, and live music.  The $20.00 fee includes access to live music, food, and a drink ticket (wine/soft drink).  To be guaranteed an event shirt, participants must be registered by Monday, April 24th.  Day of registration is accepted for $40.00 per participant, no shirt guarantee.
