Amazing Family Nights
Looking for an opportunity to spend time with your family in a fun and healthy atmosphere? Come to our Amazing Family Nights at the Manchester Recreation Complex. We open the Recreation Complex for free to families from 7:00pm-9:00pm on one Friday night a month. At Amazing Family Night you can learn about improving your health, get your health screened, eat some tasty snacks, swim, use the Youth Wellness room with the indoor playground, walk the indoor track, and play games in the gym. All children must be with an adult to attend.
Join the Teen Council of the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department. This group is for teens in the 9th - 12th grade who want to make a difference in their community. It is a leadership building group that brings teens from diverse backgrounds and interests together to help the Recreation Department put together teen programs and activities. They also assist the Recreation Department in some of our programs.

Makos Swim Team
Makos Swim Team
The Manchester Makos is a parent-governed, year round organization promoting competitive swimming. We are dedicated to the development of young athletes in the water and in life. Through the instruction of our coaches, we teach technique, team unity, and competitive racing strategies to swimmers of all levels. Our goal is to make every swimmer successful at their optimal pace. Through dedication and hard work each team member is afforded the opportunity to achieve one's full potential. We strive to provide a healthy and motivating environment that promotes self-esteem and pride in one's accomplishments.
The swim team is for ages 4 to 18 and all swim levels. The levels are from not able to swim yet (bubble-blowers) to swimming all 4 competitive strokes. We teach and swim USA swimming standards. We swim year round but take the month of August off. Swimmers can sign-up at anytime.
